More roaming and more exploring. More quaint, small town America, and more big city. More pictures and more yummy food. There was a big family breakfast at The Egglectic Cafe, there was a walk down memory lane at Wheaton Bible College with Grandma and Grandpa, and there was more ambling in Chicago through parks and tall buildings. We visited Buckingham fountain, one of the world’s largest, where Ashi proposed to Narissa. Shane said we should reenact it…he bought me ice cream instead…and we watched this beautiful little girl chasing bubbles, a girl who looked like she could one day be ours with her mix of backgrounds. Then there was more walking, down State Street, across the river, until we discovered what we were searching for – Quartino’s, an authentic Italian restaurant. The crowds and lines of people spoke of its fame and amazing food.
The next day we all woke with sore feet but now that that has passed, all that remains are fun memories…
Part one of our Chicago trip can be seen here :)
