Something pretty, something different, something that would bring together local wedding vendors. This was my hope and this is what, as a team, got accomplished! To see something start as a small idea and then fall into place…it makes me grateful for friends in the industry, this industry I’m so proud to be a part of. And it makes me grateful for beautiful friends willing to model!
Location: in downtown Abbotsford at Jubilee Park is the Bowling Green, and when Shane and I stopped by for a visit one day, we received the warmest welcome! Geoff (604-859-9972) manages the place and eagerly invites everyone and anyone out on Wednesdays at 10 am for free lessons. He and his wife happily let us have run of the place for the evening of the shoot, and to them we owe a big thank you! Shane and I plan to go bowling sometime this summer…would love to see you there too :)
Gowns: the gorgeous dresses came from a boutique bridal shop in New Westminster, Ellebay. I just love the detail and design of these dresses…I totally wanted to wear one myself!
Hair: done by Melissa of Under The Veil. She’s the sweetest girl and her and her team provide on site hair styling for your wedding day. They even come with champagne and cupcakes ;)
Makeup: the morning of the shoot we were in a pinch to find a makeup artist. Yes, the morning of. But it worked out perfectly as Darcie came to our rescue and I just LOVE what she did with the girls, making them look extra pretty and camera ready. Send her an email at darciearcand@hotmail.com.
Flowers: my favourite flower girl, Kari of Confetti Wedding Floral Design, provided the most gorgeous arrangements of peonies, succulents, ranunculas…love.
Styling: for the fun and creative set up further down this post, much appreciation goes to Jessica of Trove Vintage Rentals. She and I met awhile back and began brainstorming for this shoot…and I loved getting to collaborate with her! Can’t wait to work with Jessica again at a wedding this summer.

What would a shoot at a bowling green be without some action…
Can’t get over how PRETTY you ladies are!
While we were having fun on the bowling green, Jessica was at work piecing together her lovely finds and our sweet treats to create THIS!
Another special thank you to my sister Whitney for helping out with the goodies, including these delish whoopie pies!
Jessica also creates paper goods, like this pretty ribbon…
I have to mention Shop Sweet Lulu, where I found the paper straws, party cones, and berry baskets (and so many other fun items!)
And I’ll end with a few favourites…and one last, sincere thank you to Corrie, Andie, and Bonny for your superb modelling skills! That’s a wrap :)

So THAT’S what a bowling green is! We have a town called Bowling Green here in Virginia, and I never knew the origin of the name.
Beautiful photos, by the way. But that almost goes without saying. :)
