We stood in the drizzling rain as Vivian and Cory reminisced and recounted their proposal story…on a day quite similar, though with the rain falling harder and faster. As Cory very lovingly described, “she was a drowned rat”. Vivian just laughed in agreement. They were on a getaway on Vancouver Island, and Cory took her for a motorcycle ride and when his plans had to be rerouted, they found themselves on a beach. In the pouring rain. And that’s when Cory asked Vivian to be his wife.
I met up with Cory, Vivian and Moose at Rocky Point in Port Moody, a place they often go for walks. Our first time meeting after months of emails, it was so lovely to finally chat in person; they’re the kind of people you can meet once and feel as though you’re old friends. Though the rain did fall, it didn’t hinder our fun and if anything, added a welcomed element. Just look at that light!
Many thanks and appreciation to Vivian and Cory – happy wedding planning for your day (of sunshine, I’m sure!) in Oahu next Spring! :)
