Day three without my laptop. I’m learning that this would be a totally okay thing, except for the work that I’m missing out on. I would have a wedding and two photo shoots to share! Maybe. My laptop had begun to operate at a slower than molasses speed and my time wasn’t very productive anyhow. Thankfully, I have a smart brother and one who is willing to come to my rescue and fix it up for me.
So while I’m awaiting my work, I thought I would take the opportunity to do something else and share a few of my favourite things right now…
Business lunches – Shane is so much better at initiating times for us to sit down and discuss business goals, etc, than I am. But when you get away from the office and involve food?! I’m all for that. In between bites of deliciousness, we covered a lot of ground and set goals for the new year. Goals that I’m excited to accomplish and see where they will take our business. Already, the 2012 wedding season is really taking shape and I love how it’s looking. In order to prepare for it, we set goals that include re-evaluating my brand, developing complete packaging, and fully organizing the office (once it’s set up!). Tell me your goals for the coming year?!
Going to the spa for a massage, knowing it will be covered by your health benefits plan
Putting lights on the tree – I always thought that I would dread this part of decking the halls, after years of watching my mom spend an entire evening weaving the strands back and forth throughout every single branch. Now that I have my own tree, I find myself doing the exact same thing and loving how the tree comes to life with all those twinkling lights.
Christmas shopping online – needs no explanation
Mad Men – Shane and I are near addicted to this show. There are plenty of times that I shake my head at the characters’ mixed-up morals, but there is just the right amount of clever dialogue, mystery and appeal that have you needing to know how that story will develop next.
Eggnog lattes – my friend? She goes to Starbucks for hers on a daily basis. It’s a wonder she keeps off the pounds :) I’m not that committed to them, but it might be my favourite Christmas indulgence (I actually just got up to make myself one right now). Tell me what yours is!
Hair tutorials – for the girl who wishes she was more creative with her hair! I find myself running to these more and more. Do you have a favourite to share with someone who needs a little help in this department?
And because I have no access to my photos…and we all know that a post without a photo is kinda like a tree without lights…here a few of my favourite pins at the moment…comfort, style and organization.

Sometimes a timeout (even a forced one) is a great opportunity to remember the things we cherish and love! I had one of those days recently too. I’m with you hunny; I’m loving all your fav’s and these ones too… http://kaileymichelle.wordpress.com/2011/11/18/conscious-of-our-treasures/

I have found a few cute hairstyles, and have tried them somewhat successfully from this blog. Her tutorials are for shorter to medium length hair, but I’m sure some of it is adaptable to longer hair. Don’t go cutting off ALL of your beautiful hair! :)

I live in a town with no Starbucks – can you believe it! So one of my favourite things is to visit my sister (who lives two hours from me) especially for Starbucks and cinema trips – LOVE this. At least when your laptop gets home you’ll be fresh and ready to go :)
