There’s a small part of me that is sad about saying good-bye to 2011. It was a good an ohmygoodnesshowwillwetopthat kind of year. I made the leap from a safe, Monday-Friday office job to that of a full-time photographer, and didn’t sink. Launched a website and new blog. We went on a super fun trip with family to Chicago where we got to document my dear cousin’s [beautiful!] wedding. My lovely friend Bonny got engaged and I had the honor of being one of her bridesmaids. Shane PROPOSED. Which led to many a wonderful experience, like working with Starbucks, Hello Tomorrow and Jasmine Star. There was the unforgettable stag/stagette in Vegas. And we GOT MARRIED. Had an awesome honeymoon in St. Lucia. Then, wrapped up the wedding season with two destination weddings: Tofino and Mexico. Through it all, friendships were deepened and appreciation for family grew. I love thinking back over the past year at New Years and recounting where I started and where the year left me. I think I’d like to do a review post of personal photos I sometimes neglect. But today, this is about New Years, and ringing in twenty-twelve (that used to sound so space age’ish!) with loved ones, laughter, and a little bubbly…and a photo booth…cheers!
