I’m wrapped up in a blanket on the couch this morning, the fireplace has been going for the past couple of hours, and yet I can still feel the chill from outside. Feels like -24C?? Has Abbotsford ever been that cold before, ever? But I adore the snow that this winter has brought to our door steps. January began dark and dreary and the snow has reversed that and I couldn’t be happier watching the snow fall outside the window, or walking through the snow laden woods. Or tobogganing down steep, slippery slopes at crazy fast speeds. The snow has a way of making you feel like a child again and at the same time, I realize its beauty all the more, now that I’m older.
Shane and I were to leave on an adventure of a trip earlier this week, somewhere along the lines of Thailand. Bali. Vietnam. Standby. That last word there changed things but for now, while the snow is sticking around, we’re not too bothered…
