It’s always a struggle to find balance: between my laptop and the lovely outdoors, quality time with those I love and work (Sunday is a no-work day…usually). So I think sometimes I let Instagram (if even that!) do the talking. Rather than this blog. It’s left me feeling a wee bit disconnected…because after the weddings and the engagements, I don’t come here as often as I’d like. So, hello!
I picked up a new hobby.
Gardening: I took our condo patio and instilled a little life and prettiness. I have my mom to thank for this, for meeting me at the nursery (twice), for coming over and planting with me, and for always making the yard at their house so lovely each year.
When I was young I had my own small plot of soil in their garden, had my rows of peas and carrots to tend to. That novelty wore off quick as a child, but I’m finding it’s fun having my own plants again to care for and enjoy. As long as I can keep them alive and well…(wish me luck)
I finally have my herb garden – mint, thyme, basil & cilantro – and my very own succulents. All that’s missing now are my peonies…
I just know Shane will be excited to have such a fancy patio to return home to this week. His BBQ has never seen such loveliness. Well, I say it’s just another part of the process of turning his once bachelor pad into our home :)
Happy Thursday!

So fun!!! I can’t wait until we have an outdoor space to plant things in! In the meantime, I bought a few succulents for my office… all of which have since died. haha I thought they were easy to care for – but apparently I don’t have the green thumb I thought I did. ;) I hope you’re more successful with yours! :) xo

The novelty of gardening never lasted long for me either, until I had my own space and could do my own thing…now I can’t get enough! I’m glad you’ve caught the bug! Looking forward to many more trips to the nursery with you in the future, and to sharing my peonies with you when you have more space. :) xoxo
