Siena…medieval enchantment, breathtaking views of Tuscany, and where we discovered the best gelato and I re-discovered a past favourite, Bellini. It was a last minute whim to spend a couple nights within its city walls and I’m so happy we did. You can see more from our Europe travels here, here, and here.
Happy Monday and happy ONE WEEK until Christmas!

Hi Mikaela,
I found your blog through Jasmine Star’s and I have been “lurking” ever since. I love your work – it’s fresh and authentic. You have also shown me the amazing world of David’s Tea and I am now a converted tea drinker! :)
My question is about your travels…my husband and I are going on a trip to Europe soon and this is our first Europe trip together as well as the first time I have a DSLR to take with me – along with a modest lens assortment. I was wondering…would you consider doing a “how to pack for Europe – photographer style” post? I am by no means a pro photographer, but I am hoping to come back with some beautiful photos. :) I plan to only take a backpack and one small bag…how did you fit everything and still look gorgeous and put together AND have your DSLR and lenses?
Help?
:)
If you have time for such a post, “Thank you!” in advance, and if not, that’s ok, I understand you are very busy. :)

Hi Jenn! So lovely to hear from you! I actually would love to do a post like this. A dear friend of mine just went on a similar trip and we chatted quite a bit via email about these very questions…so it would be fun to share it on the blog! It’s always nice when ideas for blog posts fall in your lap ;) Thanks!
