I think back and I can feel the warm sun on my shoulders, smell the sweet tropical air, and remember how my tummy ached from so much laughter. Feeling the need for a Hawaii fix, I thought it time to blog our Maui vacation from last Fall. You may have already seen my cousin Megs and Trevor’s island proposal and engagement session, or this blog post here, but for the sake of keeping a personal journal of sorts on this blog, I have a few more photos to share. Like from that time we went snorkeling at Makena beach and not even hours after we left, there was a shark attack. Or from the day we spent cruising and exploring down the road to Hana and all the way back around the other side of the island. And from the time, on our last night, there was the tsunami warning, sirens whirring, and we had to “vertically evacuate” only to watch what was supposed to be the tsunami, turn into some sort of big waves. The days were spent in the sun, on this beach or that, and the evenings were spent in the kitchen and around the dinner table until bedtime called. We swam with the fish, we celebrated, we sipped, we ate well, we even garage sale’d, and altogether Hawaii was made all the sweeter in my mind. Thanks for having us, Megs & Trev.
