This past weekend we celebrated the future Mrs Brown – aka my awesome cousin Megs – with a few of her favourite things; lakeside lounging, cocktail sipping, and a tutu adorned wine tour in the Okanagan. And for kicks, I decided to throw in a hint of a Maui theme, since that’s where Megs and Trevor got engaged! Somehow it all came together and the result was pretty fun…
We stayed in Kelowna on the lake and I brought few things to dress up the place…
The only man allowed! Megs’ nephew Koah…and he was a perfect gentleman all weekend long.
A view one could get used to.
Megs was pretty chill about our weekend plans but she did make one request…tutus! We surprised her with the tank and diy gold veil.
Many thanks to Megs’ sister Courtney for snapping a few photos…and being our driver :)
Our favourite stop on our self-guided tour along Naramata Bench was Ruby Blues Winery (several bottles came back with us!),
and it’s also where we took the chance for a few portraits…because when else will we get to wear tutus??
We capped things off and soaked up the wine with an amazing lunch at Hillside Winery.
Here’s a good photo to wrap up with ;) Thank you for such a wonderful weekend, ladies! Love you, Megs.

I love the set-up! Super cute. Love all the pictures but my favorites are with the girls lined up facing out to the water and the one by the bar. Love!

This is so cute! I’m planning my girlfriend’s stagette right now and I know she would love outfits like that! Where did you get the tutus from?
Mikaela says
Hi Emily! I ordered the tutus through this site, but unfortunately received terrible customer service. I would do some further looking :)

where did you get the tutu skirts from?
Carolyn says
hey Mikaela – I love these ideas for my girlfriends bachelorette party and I’m curious where you stayed?
Mikaela says
Hi Carolyn! We stayed at a house that belonged to the groom’s family :)

Looked like a great time! My cousin is actually wanting the same thing for her stagette next year, wine tour and staying in Kelowna.
Did you have any troubles renting a house since it was a bachelorette party? All the ads I’ve come across are pretty serious in not allowing these kinds of events and I’m a little stuck!
Thanks,
Maggie
Mikaela says
Hi Maggie! Thanks for your comment! As I previously mentioned, we stayed at a house that belonged to the groom’s family. So we had no trouble! :)
Justine says
HI there
Does the family who owns the house rent to the public? I currently looking for a cabin/house on the lake in the Okanogan for a bachelorette this summer.
Mikaela says
Sorry I believe they’ve actually sold the house since we stayed there.
