As I sit and try to write here at my desk, baby kicks and give me little nudges. I can’t help but stop and watch and feel. Before baby started moving, I was not prepared for how active it would be! But it really is the best. Those nudges, when I can lay my fingers on a tiny body part (elbow? knee?) and feel a response, it feels like a little hello and it melts my heart.
We’re now at 28 weeks, the start of the third and final trimester. How did that happen?? I’m beginning to see how impatient one could get to meet their new son or daughter. But, at the same time, so much needs to happen before our due date, that I wouldn’t mind if time slowed down just a bit.
While we’re so ready to be done building, there are still some big items that need to be checked off for the new house (Flooring! Cabinets installed! Exterior painting! Basement suite! A backyard with grass, pretty please!) and we are hoping our move-in date doesn’t get pushed past mid June. Still, I won’t be allowed to officially move in until I get my Green Card/permanent residency, which we’re also very hopeful about. We’re waiting to hear about the final step in the process, which is an interview in Montreal. Praying this is scheduled for while I can still fly! (Side note: anyone in Montreal interested in a shoot?!)
Then there is the selling of our condo. And packing, moving, and preparing for baby! Trusting that God has it all worked out for us, but it’s difficult not to feel some anxiety at times. We joke that by the time baby arrives, life will have slowed down a little (and Shane will be on parental leave from WestJet!) and things won’t seem as hectic…even with a newborn ;)
I never did commit to doing a weekly bump photo, but here are the few from the past while. Clockwise from top left: 20 weeks, 22 weeks, 25 weeks, 28 weeks.
And the latest from our house! Standing in the living room, looking towards the kitchen. I’m so very excited about the white walls and all the natural light.
One of my favourite rooms in the house is our new office…we’ll finally have room for both of our desks and so much more.
To be continued…
Happy weekend!

You look so beautiful! I love how bright your house is. We just moved a couple months ago and I so enjoy now having an office room :)
