I am just curious as to how you outsource your work. More so what I mean is, what do you personally edit yourself and what do you outsource? Do you just edit what you would post on your blog and social media, or pick 100 or so of your favorites and just outsource the rest? Everything you see on my blog, my website, or on social media has been personally edited by myself. After a shoot or a wedding, I cull and upload the images using Photo Mechanic, import into Lightroom, and select and edit my favorites for the blog, etc. When it comes to outsourcing, I send my weddings to Brandon at The Album Design and he and his team do an awesome job with a VSCO preset of mine that is kept on file (the same preset I use in Lightroom – you can see that FAQ post here). They also know my white balance preference (cool/neutral/warm), so I can be confident that the images my clients are receiving are reflective of my standards. I upload the complete wedding collection to The Album Design within a couple days of the wedding and receive the edits back in about a week – far quicker than I could finish a wedding on my own! What I don’t outsource (yet?) are my portrait sessions. On average, my clients receive around 80 images and sometimes I’ll blog up to 40 of those. Once those are carefully edited, all it takes is a little copying and pasting the edits to the remainder of the collection and they’re done! At this point, I can’t quite justify outsourcing these but perhaps one day I will :) As always, if there are any further questions, feel free to comment below and I’ll do my best to include them in a future FAQ post! Thanks and happy Monday!
