James and Michelle were married on a gorgeous Fall day by the water at the Brock House in Vancouver. Their day was relaxing and intimate, with just the two of them making up the wedding party. Michelle prioritized their photos and so they shared a sweet first look on the beach, followed by plenty of time for portraits. They said their I do’s before a sofreye ahgd (wedding spread), as part of a traditional Persian ceremony. Every item stood for something from fertility to light and a mirror was in place to catch the bride’s reflection for the groom. A scarf was held over the two of them as sugar cones were ground above to symbolize sweetness. A beautiful ceremony, followed by much celebration and dancing into the night, which was all too fun to photograph. To James and Michelle, I’m so thankful I was there to document your first day as husband and wife! Thank you so much for the privilege of being your wedding photographer.
