Just when I’d love for life to slow down a little, it has picked up in more ways than we can keep track of. To name a few, in the last month and a half, we’ve packed up and moved out of our condo, I began shooting weddings again (#6 tomorrow!), and my sister got married (yay!). Because my green card is not yet in, we’ve only half moved into our new house in Washington, while spending the majority of the time back and forth with family in Canada. All while trying to sort out this parenting business. Altogether, it’s an adventure we never thought we’d be taking all at once and on so little sleep! It’s been a stretch, as someone who loves organization and a plan, to live life so unsettled. While learning to be the best mom possible for Isaiah, I’m also learning how to balance that with running a business. This has been trickier than I had thought. I still don’t have an answer as to how this will or should look, but I’ve come to realize that keeping up with emails, blogging, etc may mean sacrificing a clean house or clean hair…at least for the time being! And I’m oh so thankful to have a husband who helps keep things in perspective and will bring me breakfast in bed once in awhile ;) Last week we had our first official family photo shoot with thanks to new friend and photographer, Julie Christine. Isaiah’s silly mama scheduled the shoot for the day after his first shots…oops…so baby wasn’t quite his happy self. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned during these past couple months, is to just go with it…and I’m so grateful to have these photos (below) of our family of three.
