Last week, we had the pleasure of having my cousin, her husband, and their sweet little girl, Amelie, stay with us. We’ve been on the receiving end of their warm hospitality many times at their place near Winnipeg, Manitoba, so it was time we get to return the favor! Over the last year+ since we’d seen each other, we’d both kept busy building houses and having babies (born within three weeks of each other!). It was so fun to meet Amelie and introduce Zaya to the three of them and watch the two littles “play” together. We spent the week exploring both Vancouver and our home of the Pacific Northwest, sharing with them our favourite spots and food. Lots of food! Now we can’t wait to head out their way again.
You can see photos from our last visit out to the prairies here and here.
We ate our way through Vancouver…Beaucoup for peanut butter sandwich cookies, Medina for their waffles and lavender lattes, and then rounded things out with Meat & Bread for lunch and Noodlebox for supper..and then didn’t eat for the rest of the week ;)
It was a cool, drizzly day in the city, but we still checked out Stanley Park…it was Amelie’s first time at the ocean!
The next day we stayed on our side of the border and visited Bellingham for a little shopping and Larrabee State Park…

SUPER cute…crazy how time flies!! I remember when you were emailing me before you were even pregnant. Hopefully our littles get to someday meet! :)
