I arrived at the bridal suite at Fraser River Lodge where Sam was applying her own makeup, relaxed and surrounded by her best girls, including her mom and sisters. The rain had been pouring all day without much hope of letting up, but you couldn’t tell by the happy atmosphere in that room. Gifts were given and opened, flower crowns adorned, glasses of rosé poured, and a toast to the bride was made. Nearby, Andrew got ready with his groomsmen and the rain continued…
Hair was styled by the ladies at Hello, Lovely and bouquets were arranged by 99 Nursery & Florist
The ceremony was held underneath a tent…
It was cozy and romantic against the sound of the rain, it was sweet, it was funny, and their officiant was perfectly quirky and one of the best I’d seen…
All day I had been praying for a window of dry weather for portraits, but planning on rain. While the rain suddenly burst in a fresh down pour when Sam and Andrew were being pronounced Mr and Mrs, it let up soon after. I couldn’t believe the timing!
These two were a joy to photograph (I adored their engagement session last Fall, too)!
I loved the whimsical theme of bees and honey that was woven throughout the wedding day. Each table was named after a different flower, and guests were given sweet favours of honey sticks.
Taking a few quiet moments during the reception to enjoy the sunset and each other…
Sam and Andrew, I couldn’t be more grateful to have documented your wedding day! I can’t say enough good things about it, and you and your families. Congratulations and much appreciation!
