One of my favorite things to do has to be shooting on a summer evening by the water. Even better when it’s an engagement session with a couple like Omar and Julie. We had so much fun, I can only hope that their two+ year engagement goes by quickly so we can get to documenting their wedding, too!

Bradley and Morgan were wed in an intimate garden ceremony among their loved ones, many of whom had flown in from all over the world to witness and celebrate their union. The forecasted rain held off until the very end (see that last photo!), so we could take full advantage of the gorgeous Lairmont Manor property for photos and the afternoon reception’s festivities. Here’s a sneak peek from their day…thank you so much, Brad and Morgan, for the honor of documenting your wedding! Baby number two on the way – a girl! – meant it was time for a portrait session to document the anticipation of her soon arrival. I’ve have the privilege of documenting this beautiful family ever since Marcus and Stephanie were engaged and then married. Getting to follow along and photograph some of the most momentous times in a couple’s life is not something I take for granted, and I especially enjoyed this particular evening with them. I mean, parenthood looks pretty good on them, wouldn’t you say?

Take us back to Maui with the sand beneath our toes and the salty ocean air on our skin… Last month we had the privilege of traveling to Hawaii with friends to photograph a wedding, and the week wouldn’t have been complete without swapping sunset sessions on the beach of our own families. Dan, Tracy, January, thank you for having us along! We brought home so many fun memories and dreams of our next return.

My wedding season kicked off in the Spring with this gorgeous wedding in Chehalis at The Barn on Jackson. We had a happy groom and a beautiful bride, who together made a stylish couple excited to say I do to a lifelong commitment to one another. The rain fell steadily all morning, but the barn provided the perfect space and light for photos of the wedding party. And following the ceremony, the clouds parted just in time for portraits of the bride and groom around the property. Congrats, Mike and Laura! And thank you to Dan DeWaard of Hatch Photography for having me along!

It was a bit like a dream, running around the peony fields at dusk with the farm to ourselves and armfuls of flowers. Inhaling their sweet scent and documenting a bit of their beauty, alongside this beauty, Katya, was most enjoyable. Many thanks to Renel at Pure Peonies for giving us a warm welcome to take these photos.

It was a perfect summer day in September for a wedding on the water. Though I’d only met the bride and groom that day, as I was second shooting with my friend Jen at Blush Sky Photography, it was evident they were head over heels in love. It’s always a joy to document a wedding, but even more so when the couple exudes love and affection and admiration for one another. The wedding celebration itself was full to the brim of beautiful and thoughtful details, with a reception at the Pipe Shop in North Vancouver – what a stunning venue! Here are a handful of images I got to capture throughout the day…

Many thank you’s to Jen at Blush Sky Photography for having me along to second shoot this wedding! The details were swoon worthy and the couple incredibly sweet. Have a scroll through a few of the photos I got to capture that day as the newlyweds celebrated with friends and family at the gorgeous Hart House at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby…

She’s from Washington, he’s from California. They met when going to school in Bellingham, and it’s here where they’ll say I do this summer at the beautiful Lairmont Manor and I can’t wait! I met up with Brad and Morgan when they were visiting last weekend from their home of San Diego, taking care of wedding details and spending time with her family. We explored Larrabee for their engagement session, aiming for that Pacific Northwest feel they were after for their photos. Brad and Morgan, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek :) I’m so excited to see and document you both again in August when you become husband and wife!

These photos are some of my favorite, and it has nothing to do with the fact that they are of my brother and his sweet girlfriend! We drove up to Mt Baker on what was probably the last nice day of autumn, and arrived just in time for the most beautiful sunset in the mountains…
