There is something about photographing couples that I love. It gets me giddy and makes my heart full. Maybe it’s because their love is infectious.
Lanka and Mick were no exception. I was so excited when she contacted me about doing engagement photos…Lanka and I went to high school together and it was so great to cross paths again. Watching her and Mick together, the way he looked at Lanka, the way she looked when he was close…and to think it all came from a blind date. A mutual friend thought they’d make a good match, and now here they are, a stunningly cute couple and just weeks away from their wedding day.
When Lanka and I were planning their session, she suggested doing something rustic, yet romantic. Mick loves to hunt and because he’d been so agreeable during the entire wedding planning, she wanted to do this for him. I was thoroughly impressed with their stories of camping and hiking adventures, more so because Lanka wouldn’t typically go before Mick came into the picture :) The things we do for love…Mick, I’d say you are a lucky man, but I think you already know that…
Wishing you two nothing but the best for your upcoming wedding! xo
