Three and a half weeks. That’s all. The length of time that Shane and I have been engaged. I look back at these past few weeks and when I realize it’s only been that long, I suddenly feel very productive…which isn’t a common feeling because my to-do list grows longer quicker than I can check it off. But let’s see, in these short, few weeks we’ve… – been to California – had our engagement shoot – picked a venue, toured the venue, booked the venue – there by setting our DATE! – found my dress :) – booked our officiant – hunted for and ordered all five bridesmaid gowns – chose our photographer (more on that later!) – nailed down our theme – began collecting pieces for decor – finalized the guest list (so not easy when you’re hoping to keep it small) – began the invitations – etc, etc, etc… Hmm…whenever you’re feeling really overwhelmed with all the things you have yet to do, write down all you have accomplished… :) And so, for those who don’t know already, our date is set for…Friday, October 7th, 2011! That’s less than three months, folks! In less than three months, I will become Mikaela Ruth Bradley. Most bridal magazine check lists tell you to start planning your wedding 12-18 months prior. I still had no hope of a husband back then! Last week, I got chatting with my lovely cousin Kelsey who designed my branding. Naturally, she was the first choice for who to go with for our wedding stationery! The process was similar to when we started on my branding…create an idea board, summarize the look and feel into as many words as you want…oh I’m so excited for what we’re creating. What she is creating for us! For the meantime, we did up some quick Save The Dates for an engagement party my mom threw for us and I’m real happy with how they came out. So here’s another little wedding DIY! Thank you Kelsey for your beautiful design and thank you Shane for helping put them together. Yes, he really does it all, right down to pretty, crafty things ;) Craft glue, shipping tags (harder to find than I thought, but friends pointed me to Staples!), ribbon, printed cards (done at home), sticky magnets… pretty self explanatory here… Ta da! Happy Tuesday!
