At the mention of his name, a tear of happiness, of anticipation, and of love, rolled down her cheek. All she wanted was to see him, her soon to be husband, and become his wife. Her sister quickly took a tissue to Tanis’ cheek and dabbed the tear away from her perfectly applied makeup, which Tanis did herself. Then resumed the flurry of preparations, the smiles and the jokes to keep the mood light, and the ride to the church. Anticipation climbed and when Tanis walked down the aisle to David, to the instrumentals of a song he had written for her, the tears came once more.
The day continued to unfold perfectly and beautifully, under a near cloudless sky. Tanis and David, I’m so grateful I could be there to document it all – but most importantly, your love and the beginning of your life together. Much appreciation and best wishes to you both!
Many thanks to Tanis’ mom Susan who was the powerhouse behind the wedding day…
Lucky girl, Tanis actually won her flowers from Little Mountain Greenhouses!
They did a lovely job with the arrangements of white orchids, lilies and hydrangeas.
A favourite from the day…love these two…
Tanis and David made sure to allow plenty of time for photos…and really, I could have photographed them all day long.
My perspective…
…and Shane’s.
I love the photo on the right because it was a spontaneous moment of celebration between the newlyweds…
Then it was time for more celebrating at The Ramada…
Remember Tanis and David’s engagement session? Remember how they had an explosive first encounter in chem class?!
For their seating chart, they cleverly tied that in by using the periodic table…

You have a great eye and sense of decorum and humour that shows in these grand photos. The subjects make some of your ‘job’ easier but the love and care shows in final product.
As an ex shooter I watched your efforts – and I applaud your results. Well done!1
