She was the girl who had grown up dreaming of what her wedding day would look like, down to the every detail. She always wondered who her groom would be, until Stephanie and Alan met at church and began dating just over a year ago. Then she suddenly knew. That shadow of unknown was filled in more ways than Stephanie could’ve dreamed. Because to Alan, Stephanie was the missing piece he had been without for so many years.
Their wedding day was beautiful in so many ways. The summer sunshine, her lace trimmed veil, the happy tears that were shed, the celebration with family and close friends at Aberthau Mansion. But nothing was as beautiful as the infectious joy that Stephanie and Alan shared as they became husband and wife…
Stephanie custom ordered her Toms with 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 handwritten across them
The girls’ makeup was done by the wonderful Tiffany Paige
Stephanie and Alan opted to wait until the ceremony to see each other, so we began with the men at Aberthau…
…and then it was the ladies’ turn once the men had left…
Where it all began: Stephanie & Alan’s church meets at the Museum of Vancouver, the place where they first met, and the place they chose to say I do…
The museum grounds offered all kinds of lovely light and served as the perfect backdrop for photos…
And then it was back to Aberthau Mansion for reception festivities! Jaclyn of 6Pence Wedding Planning & Design served as Stephanie’s wedding planner and it was a treat to get to work with her…
The cupcakes were truly delicious (the bride insisted I have one…), made by Cake Conspiracy
The traditional Chinese tea serving ceremony…
Stephanie and Alan made time for sunset photos during the reception…and I’m so glad they did…
Love is patient, love is kind…
Locarno Beach was just a short walk away…a few of my favourites…
Stephanie and Alan, it was such a blessing to witness and document your wedding day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Enjoy your honeymoon cruise!
