Each year seems to bring about the unexpected. Whether it be disappointing, such as my sister’s wedding being put on hold, or better than you imagined, such as our property find in Washington and the opportunity to build our first house, knowing that God has our lives in his hands is profoundly reassuring. And exciting.
Looking back over our 2013 I see much love, some tears, prayers answered, new opportunities, laughter shared, and joy experienced. It was marked by time with family, fewer travels and more time at home, trusting in God’s will and not our own, and the celebrations of my sister’s engagement and my cousin’s wedding.
And now we’re met by 2014, a new year, a blank page, 365 days worth of opportunity for growth and adventure. Let’s see where it will take us this time! Throughout it all, both past, present and future, I’m so glad I get to live it with Shane by my side.
Wishing you and yours a bright year ahead!
