We are three and a half weeks away from our due date. The nursery remains without carpet, much less a crib, and we’re not sure where we’ll be living – the condo or the new house – when baby decides to arrive. Still trying to sell our condo, you could walk through and not see a trace of baby anywhere (unless you snooped – then you’d find the box of newborn diapers stuffed in a closet and a chest full of tiny onesies, swaddlers, crib sheets and the like). Does this stress me out? Cause me/us to lose sleep? More than a little. But. We still have our health, each other, and the promise of a sweet, new, little life that we get to wrap in our arms before too long. Ready or not ;)
Last week we got to escape the craziness briefly and enjoy a photo shoot by the lovely and talented Jamie Delaine. She and I have become friends over the years, connecting over photography (I recently did her new promo images) and life, and I’ve enjoyed following her blog and career as a wedding photographer. So, it was a treat to step in front of her camera! My friend and most trusted makeup artist, Ashley of Wedded Bliss, did my makeup (Getting married? Book her!) and I had my hair done by my hairdresser and friend, Kobie.
It was a most perfect summer evening out in Langley and we had so much fun with Jamie and her husband Randy. Following the shoot, the four of us hung out over coffee until dark and we left excited to connect with these two more in the future.
And now, just a few of my favourites from our session. Jamie, we love them! Thank you. Be sure to visit Jamie’s blog for more!

You guys are on the most incredible journey and the fun stuff is just about to begin. I can totally relate to how you feel right now with the preperations of your new home. Baby will arrive and everything will come together – as it does you will grow into a family. Enjoy every moment. I am so excited for you both.

Love these shots. Never knew you could get your hair and makeup done for maternity shots, but it looks great.
We had to move when baby Hugo was 8 weeks old, which wasn’t ideal, but it’s possible… get all the help you can muster for the move. You’ll do great.
Can’t wait to see newborn shots on your blog soon. :)
