There are new lines on my face and dark circles around my eyes. The last time I had a full night’s rest was almost six months ago, and I’ve made it to the gym twice in that same amount of time. But I hear my baby’s giggles, kiss his soft, still sweet smelling skin, and trace his tiny palm or gently squeeze little toes and it’s okay. Of course it’s better than okay. He brings joy to us every day and fills our hearts and home. We marvel as he learns things big and small, his latest trick being rolling from his back to his tummy and back again. I love how he stares up at me and places his hand on my face when he’s nursing, or how he opens wide for another bite of his rice cereal and apple sauce. Another new thing around here. And I quite adore how we can now go a 12 hour night with waking just once, to feed. Huge milestone for this mama and baby! Scratch that, spoke too soon when I wrote this post last week. Let’s call it a work in progress.
Isaiah Tate, we love you so.

He’s so gorgeous!
So, that book that was recommended to me & I passed on the recommendation…turns out it is not for me. My little guy (already a month old) set his own schedule and I’m up every couple hours to feed him and it’s wonderful to just bond with him.
Congratulations again – your little one is just precious!
