I love the sound my rings sometimes make as they clink together as I move about my left hand. We are married. Our day…our day wasn’t far off from perfect. And as I relive our wedding day through the eyes of Jasmine and JD, my heart grows incredibly warm. Like, I want to curl up and live in those photographs, in that slideshow, and soak it all in again. I can’t offer them enough thank you’s for what they’ve given to us, not least of all their friendship. I can’t offer our friends and family enough thank you’s for the tremendous amount of love and support and celebrating that led up to our day and carried through it. It all came together (like they all said it would) better than I had pictured. I can’t possibly sum up how blessed we are….how much our God has shown his hand of love and grace in our lives. And my husband…I can’t imagine or speak enough words of gratitude and love. For choosing me to be your wife. I find myself spontaneously peering into my life as though looking from the outside, from an earlier version of me. This is your life, this is your husband. I never would have even asked to have things line up the way they do now. We are married and we are honeymooning in St Lucia loving this life of no alarm clocks, no to-do lists…just ocean views from our corner of the hillside and iced coffees and books on the beach. But at the same time, can’t wait to come home together, too.
