We didn’t leave home with the thought of visiting Paris while in Europe (see reason below). But while making our way around that beautiful place, we decided to fly home from Paris rather than backtracking to Amsterdam. And that was that. Two nights in the city of love and lights that marked the end of our whirlwind trip through some of the prettiest cities with some of the best food. We celebrated by taking in Paris at night from the top of the Eiffel Tower (where we witnessed a proposal…I predicted that would happen), devouring the most delicious crepes in this world (I’m not even kidding), and trying to make the best of a very cold and rainy day…

This was my second trip up the Eiffel Tower but it proved to be more magical than the first
We ducked into Notre Dame to warm up and dry off and were met with the conclusion of Sunday morning mass. It was quite a sight and the breathtaking architecture of that incredible building made it our favourite church and made it difficult to leave…
Our friend Bryan had been spending the year doing missionary work outside of Paris and so it was fun to meet up…
and he kindly took this touristy snap of me and Shane :)
I’m oh so pleased to say that we’ll be lucky enough to revisit Paris this October! Not only that, but we’ll be photographing a wedding! This may be a long shot, but if you happen to live in the area or be visiting the area at that time, drop me a note if you’d like to join us for a shoot! I’ll keep you posted as our travel plans progress…hoping to say hello to the south of France as well :)
Happy Wednesday xo!

So cool that the two of you followed the same trip as us only a month later :) I have dropped the ball on my images though. Love seeing the same journey through your eyes

These are beautiful! My husband and I were in Paris just over a year ago and are headed to Rome/Tuscany/Venice this October. That’s wonderful that you’ll be shooting a wedding over there!

Gorgeous photos of THE most beautiful city in the world. After Paris, it’s like I’m ruined to enjoy other cities ;) btw just a Q, which camera and lens/lenses did you take on this trip? I find I want to take my 5DII with me all the time but don’t want to carry more than just one lens… Thanks!

hi adriana! i took along my 5d Markii and my 50mm 1.2 and 35mm 1.4. it sure was a lot to haul around but i’m so glad i did. if you only want to take one lens, though, i would take the 35mm. i used this one the most as it gave me more room to work with; there was so much i wanted to capture in one frame!

Thank you so much for your answer, I debate myself between my 50 and getting the 35 (which I still don’t own) but certainly the 50 is too narrow in most travel situations. Thanks again!!
